Wage Schedule: $39.070 - $56 per hour

Duties & Responsibilities Reporting to Manager of Inpatient Surgical, the successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning implementation and evaluating nursing care and practice activities in a multidisciplinary environment. You will provide care to a post-surgical adult patient population with a broad spectrum of medical diagnoses, including Palliative care.
Qualifications - Current certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario;
- Competent to perform CPR at a Basic Cardiac Life Support level;
- Current surgical nursing experience strongly preferred;
- Health assessment course or equivalent experience;
- Evidence of sound organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to work well in stressful situations;
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with patients, families, all levels of staff and the community;
- Ability to work well independently and to exercise sound judgement;
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the position;
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development;
- Demonstrates a commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues, volunteers and other members of the community and public;
- Must have a satisfactory performance record;

Conditions Of Employment The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Hospital and the Ontario Nurses Association (RN Bargaining Unit Local 051).
Successful External applicants must provide a satisfactory Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector, dated within the past six (6) months.
