POSITION SUMMARY

This position involves the safe operation of process machinery in the production of Molybdenum bar products and will cross train and cross train on the saws and Lathes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
Machine Operator in the Metals department are expected to be able to work in more than one work center after adequate training. This may include but is not limited to: • Saws (end trim - order preparation) • Grinders (large and small grinder centerless grinder) • Lathes – ability to run Manual mills and lathes.

PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES/DUTIES
• Safe operation within assigned area (‘s).
• Operator responsible for set up of
equipment and to ensure equipment is set to meet production requirements
• Follow instructions as recorded on
production order or communicated by Supervisor.
• Accurately maintain identification of all material through various stages of production.
• Accurate confirmation of production in Global Shop • Accurately weigh, measure, and monitor material as required to fulfill requirements of process step.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• Quality oriented, pays attention to details
• Ability to use tape measure, calipers, and micrometers and other various measurement devices – or able and willing to learn how to use them.
• Basic math skills • Able to learn new processes/ machines, adapt to changes in production needs
