Company Profile

• A globally recognized consumer brand is seeking an experienced and hands-on Accounting Manager to lead its finance operations in Japan. The Role

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process in compliance with JGAAP and IFRS
• Supervise daily accounting operations including AP/AR, GL entries, fixed assets, and inventory accounting
• Manage external and internal audits, ensuring timely and accurate submission of audit deliverables
• Ensure timely filing of local statutory reports and tax returns (corporate tax, consumption tax, etc.)
• Prepare and review reconciliations and financial reports, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
• Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and global finance teams to support business decisions and drive process optimization
• Monitor internal controls and implement improvements where necessary
• Mentor and lead a small accounting team to support growth and compliance

Your Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, Nissho Boki Level 2+ preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in FMCG or multinational environments
• Deep understanding of JGAAP; knowledge of IFRS is a strong plus
• Fluency in Japanese and English (written and verbal)
• Strong command of accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Excel
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic, entrepreneurial culture
• Fluency in Japanese & English

• 8,000,000 yen - 10,000,000 yen
