The Role

• Manage all aspects of accounting operations including GL, AP/AR, fixed assets, and tax compliance
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with JGAAP and IFRS
• Prepare financial reports, reconciliations, and ensure timely submission to local and global stakeholders
• Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities
• Support budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with the finance and operations teams
• Review internal controls and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance
• Lead, mentor, and develop junior accounting staff

Your Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or Nissho Boki Level 2+ preferred)
• 5-10 years of experience in accounting, preferably within supply chain, logistics, or trading industries
• In-depth knowledge of JGAAP; working knowledge of IFRS is an asset
• Fluency in Japanese and English (both written and spoken)
• Strong understanding of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
• Proven experience managing audits, tax filings, and cross-functional finance projects
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
