Business information: Nasaijit Services Ltd. is a locally owned accounting, bookkeeping and financial service provider operating out of Iqaluit and Rankin Inlet, Nunavut. We offer remote services to clients located throughout the Kitikmeot, Kivalliq and Qikiqtani regions as well as service clients at our offices in Iqaluit and Rankin Inlet.

Work Location: Same as above and 24 Sivulliq Avenue, Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, X0C 0G0.

Job Description:

  • Implement new administrative procedures
  • Review and evaluate new administrative procedures
  • Delegate work to office support staff
  • Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met
  • Carry out administrative activities of establishment
  • Assist in the preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls
  • Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence
  • Perform data entry
  • Train staff
  • Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures
  • Resolve conflict situations
  • Monitor and evaluate
  • Oversee payroll administration
  • Plan and control budget and expenditures

Requirements:

  • Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a senior clerical or executive secretarial position related to office administration is required. If the candidate does not have the minimum experience, then a university degree or college diploma in business or public administration is required.
  • Some bookkeeping experience is required.
  • Ability to proficiently use phone/fax/email technology and multitask
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, Client focus, Organized, Reliability.
  • Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, tight deadlines, large workload.
  • Operating systems and computer applications knowledge: Sage 50 and Sage 300 accounting software, Quick Books, Electronic mail, Spreadsheet, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Internet, MS Windows.
  • Ability to supervise 3-4 people
  • Language: English is required
  • $43.24 hourly, 40 Hours per week.

Important Information: This position requires working 8 hours per day. Work schedule: Monday to Friday: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. Overtime/Saturdays work may be required.
