Your new role As the Processing Area Manager, you will be at the forefront of overseeing the development of project scope, budget, and schedule for processing within our gold mining operation. Your role is integral to ensuring that all activities adhere to the highest engineering standards, regulations, and safety protocols, safeguarding both the environment and the workforce.
You will be responsible for efficiently managing and allocating resources, driving optimal project execution, and ensuring that every aspect runs smoothly and effectively. Your strategic vision and leadership will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and success of our surface water management projects.
This position is vital for ensuring that projects arepleted on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Your contributions will be instrumental in fostering a collaborative and efficient project environment, ensuring that the organization achieves its ambitious goals and objectives.
What you'll need to succeed - 10+ years of experience in mining and project management
- Mining processing or industrial processing background
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline (Project management qualifications highly regarded)
- Registered with the Quebec Order of Engineers (OIQ)
- Bilingual (able tomunicate with clients and stakeholders in English and French)
- Project management skills in developing scopes, costs and schedules
- High degree of business acumen
- Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects
- Leadership qualities to motivate and guide engineering, procurement and construction teams
- Collaborative skills to work with functions and other areas in scope delivery
- Ability to conduct thorough site inspections and evaluations
- Proficient in data analysis and reporting for performance assessment
