THE ROLE:

The objective of this role is to support the Merchandiser in planning and forecasting sales and stocks for the season, as well as effectively trading stock to maximise sales opportunities and drive profit through improved full price sell through.

Requirements

ABOUT YOU:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Specific experience in fashion retail merchandising, preferably within multi-brand environment
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Advanced planning and analytical skills, including Excel skills
  • Strong customer awareness and understanding
  • Passionate about product, strong market and brand awareness
  • Time keeping & ability to meet stringent deadlines

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • ASSISTS the merchandiser in setting up seasonal budgets by brand
  • PRODUCES category and price point analysis to support budgets, updating this on a regular basis
  • PROVIDE weekly summary of key performance indicators within departments of responsibility and the wider business, relating to sales, stock, profit, and markdown versus budget and last year
  • ASSISTING in maintaining WSSI, updating this on a weekly basis and flagging any key risks/opportunities
  • MANAGE intake flow into the business to hit monthly forecasts, drive sales, minimise risks and communicate to DC and Photo studio for short term work flow planning and longer term budgeting
  • UPDATE seasonal markdown planning documents, assist in markdown proposals and execution.
  • PROVIDE analysis and summary of Markdown and Promotional activity for departments of responsibility and wider business
  • INTERACT with other teams to improve seasonal performance with effective stock movement, analysis and drive best practices
  • MAINTAIN the continuity line card monitoring stock levels and proposing re-orders. Along with seasonal re-order proposals.
  • CONDUCT detailed ad-hoc analysis when required on specific products/product groups
  • PARTNER with the buying teams to maintain and update analysis for seasonal trips
  • Any other AD HOC duties as reasonably requested
  • OVERSEE MAA on order, query and allocation related issues
