Seeking Associate Lawyer – Criminal Defence

Jacula Law is expanding, and we are seeking a dynamic Associate Lawyer with 0-5 years experience to join our busy criminal defence practice in Oshawa. This is not just a job; it's a chance to be part of a passionate team dedicated to excellence in legal defence.

• Hands-On Experience: From day one, you'll dive into the full spectrum of criminal defence work, including intake interviews, bail hearings, docketing, reviewing disclosure, research, conducting crown and judicial pre-trials, preliminary hearings, and trials.

• Autonomy and Growth: Manage your own schedule, clients, and timelines independently. You'll have the opportunity to build your practice from the ground up, with the ability to shape your own path.

• Immediate Court Exposure: Hone your in-court oral advocacy skills with immediate opportunities to conduct bail hearings and represent clients in various proceedings.

• Mentorship and Support: We believe in nurturing talent. You'll receive steady mentorship to help you grow and develop both professionally and personally.

• Travel Opportunities: While our primary base is in Oshawa, mere steps from the courthouse, we also represent clients in Cobourg, Lindsay, Peterborough, and other areas. Given that, having a vehicle or the ability to travel is a requirement.
