Job Description

1204538 B.C. LTD. dba Parkgate Farm Market North Vancouver, 151 3650 Mt Seymour Pkwy, North Vancouver, BC V7H 2Y5 is hiring 1 full-time/permanent Cashier for their store. The start date is as soon as possible. The wage rate will be $17.40 per hour for 40 hours a week.

Job Duties:

• Manage transactions with customers using cash registers.
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate.
• Collect payments whether in cash or credit.
• Issue receipts, refunds, change.
• Redeem stamps and coupons.
• Cross-sell products and introduce new ones.
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information.
• Greet customers when entering or leaving the store.
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas.
• Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies.
• Handle merchandise returns and exchanges.

Job Requirements

• Some secondary school education is required.
• No experience required. On-the-job training is provided.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Basic POS knowledge is an asset to have.
• Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS
• Good math skills are an asset to have.
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Customer satisfaction-oriented
