The Cape Breton-Victoria Regional Centre for Education is responsible for the administration of the public school system within the boundaries of Cape Breton and Victoria Counties, supporting approximately 12,000 students in 38 schools.

Qualifications
Expected competencies:
Training and experience in facilitating multidisciplinary teams including regional center staff as well as outside agency staff to achieve appropriate action planning and programming that meets the well-being, physical health, mental health, social-emotional and educational needs of student
Experience supporting school program planning teams and students/families with complex challenges through consultation and collaboration with school/regional staff and staff members of partner agencies to develop evidence-based programming to address student needs
Possess a broad knowledge of community agencies/organizations and government departments and their mandates and service.
Extensive experience in working collaboratively with community agencies/organizations and staff from government departments
Demonstrate excellent leadership, interpersonal, organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
Has a broad knowledge of and the ability to use current and appropriate technology in developing strong partnerships between the CBVRCE and the Departments of Education, Health, Justice and Community Services as well as other community agencies and organizations to support the implementation of programs designed to augment student well-being, physical health, mental health, social-emotional and educational success
Demonstrated experience in maintaining confidentiality

The Coordinator of Programs Partnerships will work with the staff of government departments and non-governmental agencies as well as regional education and school staff to deliver high quality and inclusive programming to students. The Coordinator will work with and/or develop both formal and informal partnerships to ensure efficient and innovative ways of implementing shared and/or co-located services as well as the delivery of high-quality programming for students across a variety of government departments and Non-governmental Organizations (NGO’s) including (but not limited to) Health, Justice, Community Services, Family Services of Eastern Nova Scotia, Youth Justice, Feed NS, School Food programs, etc. The Coordinator of Programs - Partnerships will report directly to the Director of Programs & Student Services.
The Coordinator shall perform tasks as are assigned by the Director, Programs and Student
Services. These tasks may vary, from time to time, with the evolution of the organization and may include but not be limited to the following:
