We are seeking an experienced
Ovation (High-Net-Worth) Claims Specialist. Aviva recognizes the importance of being flexible and the benefits of being together, this role will be

What You’ll Do - Support Ovation Claims, focusing mostly on Property line of claims with some Automobile claims as may be required.
- Assess structural repair and emergency mitigation damages
- Provide reliable assurance of an effective control environment, focusing on the scope, repair, quality and customer experience of the program.
- Conduct reviews and assist in conducting claims studies aimed at reducing total claims costs and increasing efficiencies while maintaining a high level of outstanding customer service.
- Provide service within their region and others when required, while leveraging best practice and expertise in Xactware.
- Handle assigned claims and act as a resource for shared Ovation Claims resources across Canada on claims handling and coverage.
- Read and interpret scopes and estimates from contractors, provide meaningful feedback and establish actioning as required.
- Train team members and may assist with Open/Closed file reviews.
- Support the CAT team as needed, to coordinate response for Ovation customers and brokers.
- Liaise with Ovation UW and Risk Management to spot trends and identify risks.
- Work closely and in collaboration with Anti-Fraud on any suspected Ovation Fraud claim.
- Establish relations with both our internal and external adjusting partners and vendor database.
What You’ll Bring - Minimum 5+ years of experience in a senior position handling property loss
- Past experience adjusting Auto PD claims across Canada
- Post Secondary education or working toward completion of the Insurance Institute program (CIP / FCIP).
- Proven track record of handling large loss (> $150K)
- Experience reviewing estimates using Xactimate software
- Outstanding public speaking and presentation skills to handle high-profile clients and partners
- Solid understanding of claims adjusting practises.
- Bilingualism in a second language and adjusting licenses for Quebec and/or Atlantic provinces will be considered an asset
