REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Equipment Maintenance
DEPARTMENT: Rail Mechanical
LOCATION: Cochrane
REFERENCE: 300-95-26
SALARY: $23.61 - $26.23/hour (Increases set out as per the collective agreement. Full rate effective after 1 year of service)

ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT: The Cleaner will provide ongoing cleaning/labour services to the division in a safe and efficient manner.
MAJOR DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES: - Cleaning/washing of railway equipment, coaches, parts and shop facilities
- Adapts to new methods, processes, material and equipment
- Follows prescribed safety procedures including the use of safety clothing and equipment
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Current shift schedule is: Tuesday - Friday 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. & Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
REQUIREMENTS: - Secondary School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- Previous cleaning and/or labour experience
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written)
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to work various shifts (including weekends and over night) and some work outdoors in adverse weather (24-hour operation)
- Must be committed to Company Health and Safety
