Position Summary

Technicut Tool (TCT) is seeking a  CNC Manufacturing Estimator   for our Windsor, Ontario   location . If you are looking for an organization and career that will match your strong work ethic and passion for success, Technicut Tool is a great place to start! 

*This position works Monday thru Friday from 7:00am - 3:30pm*

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive and review drawings and associated information supplied by customer to determine quote requirements.  Determine if the parts are suitable for current equipment. Request any information, specifications and extra drawings as required to facilitate the estimated pricing.
• Determine manufacturing steps/processes, equipment requirements, programming requirements, set up operations, material, labor, and other items necessary to perform work.
• Research new methods and technologies when directed to by management or when required for completion of the estimated pricing.
• Calculate production costs using labor, raw material and processing price estimates. Review historical data when required for quoting repeat parts to ensure accurate costing is achieved and to see if improvements to efficiencies can be found.
• Prepare formal price and delivery quotations for management and customers while maintaining customer required due date expectations for proposals. 
• Communicate accurately and professionally with customers and suppliers regarding requirements, proposals, quotations and projects.
• Liaise between customers and production personnel as required.
• Attend meetings or conference calls as required to support and facilitate customer requests and product launches.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports regarding quoting and follow up activities.

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

• 10+ Years of Machine Shop Estimating/Quoting experience of medium to high complexity parts, including knowledge of set up and operation of a diverse range of machinery and equipment. Quoting experience must be with CNC Mill and Lathes operations in a Job Shop environment. Previous experience in coatings, plating, welding and assembly an asset.
• Extensive experience/knowledge in reading, analyzing, and understanding technical specifications, drawings, bills of material, material, and process specifications, quality documentation, and associated documentation.
• Extensive knowledge of the types of tooling required for specific applications.
• Paperless Parts, JobBoss, CNC programming, MS365 software, Cimatron and AS9100 experience is a plus.
• Extensive experience with the machining and processing of different types of materials.
• Knowledge of practical use of inspection and measurement tools in part dimensions with a good grasp of GD&T concepts.
