Coding Quality Review Specialist – Remote (Nashville, TN)

  • Location: Work From Home (eligible states only; not available for California, Alaska, New York, or Colorado).
  • Certification: Active RHIA, RHIT, or CCS required.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of MS-DRG inpatient auditing in a hospital setting.
    • 10+ years of total medical coding experience preferred.
  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Test Requirement: Must pass a coding test (90 minutes).

Role Overview:
Join a high-performing team dedicated to ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance in medical coding. As a Coding Quality Review Specialist, you will play a key role in auditing and maintaining coding quality across multiple Health Information Management Service Centers (HSCs) while contributing to an organization recognized for ethical standards and industry leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform internal quality assessment reviews for HSC coders.
  • Lead and coordinate coding quality reviews, including routine, pre-bill, policy-driven, and incentive plan-driven reviews for inpatient and outpatient coding.
  • Ensure adherence to national coding guidelines, HSC policies, and company standards.
  • Apply expert-level knowledge of medical coding practices and concepts.
  • Participate in special projects or reviews, maintaining accuracy (95%) and productivity (95%) standards.
  • Stay current with official data quality standards, guidelines, and clinical resources.
