Job Description

Duties/ Behaviors 

  • • Install, configure, support, monitor, test, optimize, and troubleshoot problems pertaining to deployment, integration, and implementation of new hardware and software in moderate-to-complex client network environments with guidance, review, and QA from Consultant III's.
  • •Be a project team member working with a Consultant III implementing Collaboration solutions for enterprise sized customers.
  • • Provide Tier 2 support for network and Collaboration infrastructures.
  • •Demonstrate continued growth and independence when working with clients.
  • •Implement migration strategies, implementation plans, risk mitigation plans, test plans, and disaster recovery plans for Collaboration solutions.
  • •Support network standards, processes, and security at client sites.
  • •Maintain a professional demeanor when dealing with clients; work jointly through technicians or directly with the client.
  • •Assist with providing an effective high-level assessment of technology costs, benefits, and risks to develop and deliver total solutions.
  • •Develop proposals for the client's senior management and technology advisors.
  • •Evaluate, test, and document technology and solution opportunities for new and existing partner service offerings.
  • •Act as a technical lead for small to medium-sized clients.
  • •Design small to medium complex networks with the assistance of Senior Lead Consultants as needed.
  • •Participate in and lead project meetings and design discussions.
  • •Communicate project status and weekly activities to internal and external PMs.
  • •Maintain and update project documentation and auditing for various clients.
  • •Review the design and implementation plans for the client, ensure understanding of the business needs and how they map to the solution, and provide feedback to PM, PMO, and Consultant III based on actual field experience.
  • •Participate in the delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field experience.

Certifications

  • 4+ years hands-on, technology related experience or equivalent education. Proven work experience dealing with client accounts.
  • CCNP-Collaboration Completed, or other CCNP-x certification, or substantial equivalent knowledge or experience.

Professional Skills

  • Detailed knowledge of core technology services, ability to design solutions and create configurations.
  • Detailed knowledge of Collaboration products, ability to configure and install them based on complex requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of data center technologies as it relates to Collaboration infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and network design theory.
  • Strong knowledge of the sales process and knowledge of the resellers' competitive advantage.
  • Ability to lead teams.
  • Ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities among team members.
  • Skills to create and deliver presentations.
  • Business writing skills to be used when creating proposals and client documentation.
  • Ability to initiate feedback, proactively build rapport, respond immediately if possible, and escalate if necessary.
  • Aptitude for creative solution design (demonstrate creativity in solving client problems).
  • Basic understanding of business principles – understanding key drivers for reseller and client, business models – used to make informed choices; create solutions that address challenges.
  • Strong ability to accommodate different personality types.
  • Strong ability to make consistent good decisions based on the situation.
  • Solid project management and time management skills, and ability to execute subtasks in the project.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple activities simultaneously, set goals and objectives, and prioritize and complete tasks.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and initiative and provide consultants leading a project with regular updates on tasks, progress, etc., in a proactive manner.
  • Ability to act as a coach and mentor others.
  • Customer-service oriented.
  • Ability to travel more than 30%.
