OUR OPPORTUNITY:

We are currently seeking a Class 5 Driver operating out of our Cagary location to join our team! The Successful applicant will be responsible for making deliveries Tuesday to Friday using company 3 or 5-ton truck. Hotel and meal allowance provided. Work week is Tuesday - Friday with overnight deliveries. The route schedule is as follows:

• Tuesday: Sparwood, Fernie, Kimberley, Cranbrook
• Wednesday: Creston, Trail, Grand Forks, Castlegar
• Thursday: Nelson, Nakusp, Revelstoke, Golden
• Friday: Invermere

Driver must be flexible and willing to cover other routes if needed.

Work hours: Tuesday to Friday (40 hours/week). Early morning start times required. Delivery drivers are paid daily overtime after 10 hours or when weekly overtime is in excess of 40 hours worked.

Wage: $24.25/hr 

Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor , the main responsibilities will include:

• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle
• Deliver order to customers on assigned routes according to a time schedule
• Pick up and complete customer magazine/book return pick-ups as scheduled.
• Ensure that all shipments are properly marked, labeled and paperwork is completed as required.
• Obtain delivery/pick-up confirmations from each customer
• Perform maintenance checks on truck on a weekly basis
• Complete logs and reports
• Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

• Valid Class 5 license
• Current Driver's Abstract. To be an authorized driver employees must have and maintain a safe driving record and have a valid driver's license at all times. Annual review of drivers abstract required for this position
• Ability to meet timelines without jeopardizing job safety and accuracy.
• Positive, professional and courteous communication skills.
• The ability to learn assigned tasks and follow directions.
• Possess good judgment and adhere to all Safety Requirements.
• Ability to operate equipment related to the logistics operation.
• Physically fit (work requires lifting [up to 50lbs], with reaching, handling and feeling, eye and foot coordination and stooping and bending.
• Accurate arithmetic abilities including manual addition, multiplication, subtraction.
