Department: Production
Wage: $21 per hour
Hours: Part-time, Tuesdays & Thursdays, 16 hours per week, increasing with seasonal demands
Date: April, 2025

Position Overview:
Reporting to the Production Manager, Uncommon Cider is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our distribution team. This role is responsible for safely and efficiently delivering our craft cider products and occasionally other items to retail and on premise locations, farmers markets, events, and directly to customers. The ideal candidate will be punctual, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional service and representing our brand positively in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Delivery:
    • Safely load, transport, and deliver products in a timely manner using company vehicles.
    • Ensure accurate delivery according to invoices and delivery schedules.
    • Handle cider products with care, maintaining their quality throughout transportation.
    • Collect signatures and payments as needed, ensuring accurate transaction records.
    • Collect and return empty kegs from customers.
  • Inventory and Documentation:
    • Accurately manage delivery paperwork and maintain organised records.
    • Assist with regular inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
    • Follow company procedures for product handling and storage.
  • Customer Service:
    • Provide exceptional service by interacting professionally with customers, market vendors, and event organizers.
    • Address customer inquiries promptly and courteously.
    • Positively represent Uncommon Cider, enhancing brand reputation during deliveries and events.
    • Deliver support materials to customers.
    • Identify opportunities for sales growth.
  • Vehicle Maintenance:
    • Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles.
    • Schedule regular vehicle maintenance and report any vehicle issues promptly.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with local traffic laws and regulations.
    • Adhere to AGLC policies related to alcohol transportation.
    • Maintain detailed and accurate delivery logs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving abstract and proof of no insurance claims in the last 3 years.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of delivery or related driving experience.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical capability to load/unload deliveries, including lifting up to 60kg frequently.
  • Flexible schedule, including availability for some weekends and occasional evenings.
  • ProServe certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Familiarity with Calgary and surrounding areas.
