Education Business Unit:

This division has been operating and growing in Japan for over 40 years. It is the Japanese distributor of U.S.-manufactured OMR (Optical Mark Reader) devices, importing and selling them locally. The company provides and supports systems using the data output from these scanners (e.g., entrance exam scoring). It also helps resolve client challenges by offering BPO services to handle entrance exam processes.

The team delivers services by understanding customer needs in the education field and offering tailored solutions to support the development of the exam processing market.

This project involves upgrading systems that use OMR devices. The data from the OMR is used for cleaning, scoring, and more. You’ll manage the entire development process—requirements definition, modifications, testing, delivery, and support. Communication with the client is also an essential part of the role. Although OMR is used, this is a typical development project.

Responsibilities:

• Design optimal and user-friendly system architecture based on client requirements and business strategy
  
• Design foundational system structures in development projects
  
• Define shared specifications and requirements
  
• Design overall system direction and framework
  
• Analyze and evaluate existing systems and propose improvements
  
• Support operation of developed systems in BPO services
  
• Provide on-call support during actual test periods
  
• Communicate and share information with business partners (BPs)
  

Qualifications:

• Experience in full system development lifecycle (requirements definition, design, development, testing, delivery, and support)
  
• Knowledge/experience in C#, MS Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Access, MS Azure
  
• Japanese communication skills (listening, speaking, comprehension)
  
• Proactive attitude (research, skill acquisition)
  
• Diligent and careful working style

• Experience in the education sector (WBT, CBT, e-Learning)
  
• Interest in education-related work
