We are seeking a dedicated Director, Claims Operations to lead and manage a team of property adjusters handling moderate complexity claims, including non-CAT wind, exterior structure losses, and sump pump-related cases. We offer a flexible work environment requiring in-office presence four days per week at either our Colorado Springs, CO or Phoenix, AZ locations. Please note that relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop claims operations teams, ensuring outstanding service and support for members.
Coach managers on claims handling, quality reviews, and issue resolution to maintain high performance.
Oversee the execution of claims strategies, change management initiatives, and technology adoption.
Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, procedures, and fair claims settlement practices.
Monitor claims reserves and provide settlement authority as needed.
Drive operational risk management, regulatory compliance training, and policy adherence.
Analyze trends, financial impact, and develop action plans for continuous improvement.
Foster a high-performing team culture that champions collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Remove obstacles, lead organizational change, and build conditions for long-term success.
Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree OR four additional years of relevant experience in place of a degree.
Eight years of progressive leadership experience in customer service, operations, or claims within the P&C industry.
At least three years of direct management or team leadership experience.
Strong background in claims handling, business solutions, and operational excellence.
Proven ability to interpret and utilize data-driven insights for strategic decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications:
Four years of property claims leadership experience.
Expertise in handling moderate complexity claims, including non-CAT wind, exterior structure losses, and sump pump claims.
Experience leading teams of 100+ employees.
Proficiency in reviewing property estimates, particularly for roof/exterior damages.
Ability to analyze multi-state contractual policy provisions to provide guidance and settlement authority.
Hands-on experience with Xactimate estimating software.
Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree and/or industry certifications such as CPCU, SCLA, or PCLA.
Proven ability to lead through strategic and organizational changes, achieving desired outcomes.
Strong leadership skills in talent development, coaching, and team motivation.
Background in military service or as a military spouse/domestic partner.
Flexibility to work extended hours as needed to support claims operations.
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive salary range: $143,320 - $265,950, based on experience and market factors.
