407 ETR's Information Technology division is responsible for the infrastructure and software to enable the efficient operation of the highway-including toll capture, account management, financials, and data storage/analytics-as well as customer services including call-center, web, IVR and supporting workflows.
Position Summary:
407 ETR is currently seeking a Director of Data Analytics Revenue Optimization to join our team. This role will leverage customer analytics to inform and drive both pricing strategy and marketing promotions to maximize revenue growth. The incumbent will lead statistical modeling and develop presentations for the executive team, shareholders as well as peers across the organization. This role will report directly to the role of Head, Enterprise Data & Analytics, and has a dotted-line reporting to the role of VP, Revenue Optimization. We are seeking a strong people leader to develop a high performing team in data modeling, customer insights and business analytics.

The successful candidate shall leverage customer data to inform and drive pricing strategy and marketing promotions. This candidate will manage and develop a high performing team in data modeling, business insights reporting focused on revenue optimization. The candidate will be expected to be highly active in both statistical modeling and developing presentations to work with and communicate to other peers across the organization.
This role demands a data-driven mindset, strategic thinking, and a proven track record of using customer analytics to inform decision-making and drive measurable business impact. We are seeking an experienced leader to shape the organization's analytics capabilities to unlock new revenue opportunities and enhance customer experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Champion the use of data as a key business enabler—identifying opportunities to unlock value across the organization with a focus on revenue optimization and pricing.
- Lead the development of pricing elasticity models using advanced statistical techniques and develop price optimization algorithms.
- Lead the development of promotion optimization models (uplift and response) to enhance targeting strategy for personalized offers.
- Guide experimentation strategies (e.g., A/B tests, geo lift studies) to measure causal impact of pricing and promotional tactics.
- Lead and mentor a high performing team of data scientists and analysts, including performance reviews and development plans.
- Work with stakeholders to frame business problems into an analytical framework and deliver valuable, impactful results.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, data engineering and product teams to integrate models into business workflows and decision systems.
- Conduct research, collect and analyze data related to traffic and customer travel behavior from existing and emerging sources.
- Use advanced Machine Learning techniques including image recognition, neural networks and other AI techniques to aid in pricing and customer insights.
- Lead the design, delivery and analysis of customer survey for personal and business users.
- Lead the analytical support of a new loyalty program.
- Deliver easy to digest insights to C-level and shareholders that help inform and share the future direction of the business in Pricing, Promotions, Marketing, Traffic and Operations.
- Manage consultants, including contract preparation, price negotiation, scheduling, budget management, payment approvals, report evaluation and approval.
- Represent and inform the company through participation in inter-agency research initiatives.
- Lead and support new research with academic partners.
Requirements:
- A Master's or PhD in Statistics and/or Mathematics
- Minimum 10 years' experience in analytics with:
- 10+ years leading an analytics practice including data science and insights
- 10+ years managing and training data scientists and analysts.
- 10+ years in pricing optimization, promotions and segmentation modeling
- 10+ years in Marketing ROI and Loyalty Programs
- 5+ years in Survey Analysis and Design
- 5+ years in Experimental design and research techniques
- Strong understanding of Statistical and machine learning concept/theory, and how to correctly apply these methods to drive business insights.
- Strong experience with tools like Python, Tableau, Power BI, AWS ecosystem (or alike), Gurobi.
- Deep understanding of causal inference, experimentation design and incrementality measurement.
- Experience with leveraging MLops tools in a production environment to deploy models (e.g., MLflow, AWS Sagemaker, GCP Vertex AI etc.)
- Exceptional business analysis, research and problem-solving skills.
- Strong presentation skills and experience interacting with C-level and shareholders.
- Ability to clearly and concisely articulate analytic insights in a way that is digestible to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to understand business stakeholder's issues and create valuable insight.
- Strong time management and project management skills
- Understanding of graphical/mobility models, GIS mapping, transportation and highway tolling operations.
