About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Director, Project Delivery to join our growing global team. This is a home-based role within Japan and offers the opportunity to lead complex, global clinical trials across key therapeutic areas.

As a senior leader in our organisation, you will be responsible not only for the successful delivery of clinical programs but also for overseeing a team of project managers. You will play a critical role in strategic planning, operational oversight, client engagement, and team development.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level leadership to a portfolio of clinical trials, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with client expectations and company standards

• Lead and mentor a team of Project Managers and Project Directors, supporting their growth and performance

• Serve as the senior point of contact for clients, building strong, long-term partnerships and overseeing strategic trial execution

• Oversee study delivery activities across regions, including timelines, risk mitigation, budget management, and resource planning

• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in project delivery operations

• Collaborate cross-functionally with key departments including Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Data Management, and Business Development

• Support proposal development, bid defences, and contribute to strategic planning for business growth

• Ensure compliance with ICH-GCP, global regulatory requirements, and internal SOPs

• Champion a culture of quality, accountability, and operational excellence across the project delivery function

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Extensive experience in clinical project management, including global trial oversight

• Proven leadership experience, including direct line management of project delivery teams

• Deep therapeutic knowledge in Renal, Oncology or Cardiometabolic clinical trials

• Previous CRA or clinical site management experience is a plus

• Strong financial acumen, including ownership of budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation

• Strategic thinking and the ability to manage complex programs and stakeholder relationships

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a hands-on, collaborative approach

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat)

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
