The Opportunity: Postmedia is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to fill the full-time position of Distribution Coordinator.
What you’ll do: Supervise and organize newspaper distribution and service of the Provincial newspapers, Flyer and Parcel distribution network.
- Effectively coordinate and supervise the day to day distribution operations
- Proactively resolve all related delivery and service problems
- Maintain acceptable service levels through the independent distributor delivery network
- Oversee and support a network of contract drivers
- Other duties as assigned
Who you are: - Two (2) years relevant work experience, with some supervisory and previous distribution experience preferred. Previous experience working with independent contract distributors is an asset
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude, communicating effectively with other employees and independent contractors while managing multiple tasks, and working effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
- Strong customer service skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft365
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Ability to recruit and contract independent contractors
- Must have a reliable vehicle and valid New Brunswick drivers’ license
