DZ Delivery Driver - Flooring and Tile

Location: North York, ON

Compensation: $26.50/hr + overtime pay (after 44 hours). Expected earnings: $1,325/week ($5,300/month, $63,000–$64,000/year)

Schedule: Mon-Fri - 7AM-5PM + occasional overtime (paid)

Our client is a successful Toronto (North York)-based luxury flooring wholesale distributor and retailer , specializing in high-end flooring and wall products that enhance any space. Their team is dedicated to delivering beautiful, functional designs and helping a wide range of clients—including designers, contractors, and homeowners—find the perfect products for their projects. They’re seeking a reliable and experienced DZ Driver to handle local deliveries and represent the company with professionalism and excellent customer service.

Position Overview:
As a DZ Driver , you will be responsible for delivering flooring products to residential, commercial, and industrial clients across the GTA and surrounding areas. This role requires strong route planning skills, attention to safety, and great customer communication . You will be driving a straight truck (automatic transmission) and must be comfortable handling deliveries solo while ensuring timely drop-offs.

What We’re Looking For:

We need a dependable driver with at least 5 years of overall delivery experience , including a minimum of 3 years driving a straight truck with a DZ license . The ideal candidate is punctual, professional, and comfortable working overtime when needed .

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct pre-trip inspections per MTO guidelines and report any defects, including electronic circle checks using a company-provided tablet.
• Deliver products safely and on time to residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
• Load and unload the truck using a forklift or pallet jack (training provided).
• Plan efficient delivery routes across Burlington to Bowmanville and up to Midland .
• Communicate with customers, making pre-delivery calls and obtaining signatures upon drop-off .
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of company vehicles.
• Follow company safety policies, including proper tailgate operation .

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Valid DZ license with a minimum of 3 years of experience driving straight trucks.
• 5+ years of total delivery experience .
• Clean driving record (no infractions/accidents, no license suspensions, no demerit points; minor parking tickets may be acceptable). Must pass a driver’s abstract and insurance questionnaire.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally (majority of deliveries are skid-based).
• Strong knowledge of GTA and surrounding areas for effective route planning.
• Comfortable with overtime as needed (some days may extend past 5 PM).
• Reliable and punctual , consistently showing up on time and ready to work.
• Professional demeanor , representing the company well with a positive attitude and strong work ethic .
