Join our Business Support team at the Koriyama Factory in Fukushima. Our department is dedicated to identifying and mitigating environmental risks, developing and implementing sustainability strategies, and ensuring compliance with regulations. We foster a collaborative atmosphere where team members work closely with stakeholders to address environmental challenges and promote sustainability. With a focus on effective communication and alignment with organizational goals, we strive to make a positive impact on both the environment and our community.

The position
As an Environmental and Sustainability Professional, you will:

• Ensure compliance with environmental and sustainability regulations and identify risks.
• Implement and maintain relevant policies and procedures for sustainability.
• Conduct audits and inspections to detect non-compliance and initiate corrective actions.
• Engage with community and stakeholders to address concerns and expectations related to the environment.
• Collaborate across departments and develop educational materials to raise awareness on sustainability issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in science, environmental or relevant field.
• 2+ years of experience in environmental/sustainability-related roles or a related field.
• Experience in developing and implementing strategies, collaborating with internal departments, and utilizing data-driven skills.
• Familiarity with implementing and maintaining Environmental Management Systems, such as ISO 14001 and ISO 50001.
• Skilled in both Japanese (native proficiency) and English (business-level proficiency).
