Company Profile

• A confidential global medical technology company, recognized for its innovation in non-invasive treatment solutions. As they strengthen their footprint in Japan, the company is seeking a strategic Finance Leader to oversee financial operations and act as a true business partner to the Country Manager and regional stakeholders.

The Role

• Act as the No.1 finance leader in Japan, managing the full spectrum of finance and accounting
• Oversee monthly/quarterly/year-end closings, local tax, treasury, and statutory audits
• Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A process in collaboration with HQ
• Ensure compliance with local regulations (JGAAP, tax laws) and group IFRS policies
• Provide strategic financial guidance to support business growth and efficiency
• Manage external vendors (accounting firms, payroll, tax advisors)
• Support operational improvement initiatives including automation, cost optimization, and ERP implementation

Your Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, including leadership of local finance operations
• Strong understanding of JGAAP, IFRS, and local taxation
• Native-level Japanese and business-level English (essential)
• Experience working in a foreign-affiliated or matrixed organization
• Hands-on, proactive, and able to work independently in a lean environment
• ERP proficiency (SAP, Oracle, etc.) preferred
• CPA or similar qualification is a plus
