Job Title: Financial Planning & Analysis Associate — Master-Level Internship 

Level: Master's Level Internship

Department: Finance 

Duration: 520 Hours (approximately 3 months) 

Work location: Remote (with hybrid options in Toronto)

Compensation: Hourly ($32)

About the Role: As a Financial Planning and Analysis Associate, you will play a pivotal role in supporting strategic decision-making through robust financial planning, forecasting, and analysis. This role requires a highly analytical individual capable of interpreting financial data, creating projections, and providing actionable insights to senior leadership.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate financial performance, optimize budgets, and support long-term planning initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while contributing to transformative financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Analyze financial performance metrics and provide actionable insights to improve decision-making.
  • Collaborate with teams to evaluate business cases, cost-saving opportunities, and investment initiatives.
  • Prepare financial reports and dashboards to communicate key trends and findings to stakeholders.
  • Conduct variance analysis to compare actual performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist in developing long-term financial plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Support the preparation of presentations for senior leadership and board meetings.

About You:

  • Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a Master's program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field. Master's program enrollment or completion is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or other analytics platforms.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, KPIs, and variance analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey financial insights effectively.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about contributing to strategic financial planning and driving organizational growth.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Recruitment Process:

  2. Written Questionnaire: Selected candidates will receive a set of 10 written questions to assess their fit and technical knowledge..
  3. Video Questionnaire: Candidates who successfully pass the written assessment will be asked to answer 10 additional questions to be submitted in a video format to further evaluate their skills and cultural fit. The ability to video record your answers will be required.
  4. Evaluation: Our team will review the responses to both questionnaires. Candidates who meet our criteria will be invited to the next stage.
  5. Orientation Session: Successful candidates will be invited to participate in an orientation session where they will learn more about Vosyn, our projects, and what to expect during the internship. After this session, you will be given the opportunity to opt-in if you believe that this internship is for you.
