PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
At Travel + Leisure Co., our vision is to put the World on Vacation. In your position as the Food & Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operation of the Food and Beverage outlets, including recruitment, training of all new and existing staff, rostering staff, and managing floor staff during a function.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (Include but not limited to:)

  • Provide exceptional customer service to our owners
  • Inspire and create a fun activities program with a range of interesting activities and functions for guests within the resort
  • Ensure smooth running of Food and Beverage service, providing hand-in-hand teamwork with adequate employees
  • Ensure liquor licensing guidelines for responsible service of alcohol are adhered to
  • Follow the responsibilities as outlined under The Liquor Act
  • Manage floor staff during a function
  • Successfully recruit, select, and induct suitable staff in line with company policies and procedures
  • Identify and facilitate any staff training and development requirements
  • Provide coaching and support in developing and promoting a productive and performance-focused workforce culture
  • Ensure company performance management procedures are followed to maximize the productivity of staff
  • Promote, communicate, and reinforce Company values and expected behaviors
  • Employees must ensure they comply with WVRAP’s OH&S Policy, procedures, and any reasonable instruction given by WVRAP
  • Employees must not willfully place at risk the health and safety of themselves or any other persons in the workplace and not willfully or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided for health and safety
  • Display a Count On Me! service to all internal and external parties
  • Display innovation through inspiring, creating, and improving processes and products
  • Show integrity in all aspects of the position by doing the right thing, taking responsibility, and delivering on the promise
  • Display leadership values by ensuring effective communication and respecting your peers and managers. Support others within the team and empower each other wherever possible

KEY POSITION CRITERIA:

  • Motivate, inspire, train, coach, and discipline employees
  • Lead the team by example, displaying appropriate conduct and dress
  • Successfully screen employment candidates and conduct interviews
  • Coordinate schedules with projected workflow, within budget
  • Recognize and solve problems in the workplace
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Control stock and report any discrepancies to the General Manager
