The Position:
· We are looking for a talented GM, to oversee daily operations of the consulting and application services business unit. This business unit enables our customers to maximize their and IBM investments through software solutions, ERP evolution, support, development and EDI capabilities / projects, and help desk responsibilities. The GM will also generate new strategies for growth and to enhance current client solutions by leveraging our entire portfolio of products and managed services.
· The role is a remote work opportunity. We are looking for a strong Sales focused GM
· with the ability to manage and engage with multiple teams across North America, and overseeing successful delivery of complex solutions' projects as well as identifying market growth opportunities..
Responsibilities::
· Set the direction and lead sales and market expansion strategies in collaboration with the EVP of Consulting Services
· Partner with sales and customer engagement teams to align solutions, pricing and delivery schedules that are profitable for us and the customer's
· Work on the operational and cultural integration between our clients Application Services team and our new consulting team
· Master the manpower planning and resource attribution best practices for maximized utilization rates and gross margin
· Partner with EVP of Consulting Services, sales teams, delivery teams, and tools teams to develop competitive business strategies for new, innovative and realistic solutions
· Lead feasibility / profitability analysis in the selection of the solution that provides the best customer business outcomes
· With the EVP of Consulting Services, recommend flexible and scalable solutions based on practical experience in understanding complex client requirements.
· Act as a trusted advisor with the ability to act both as leader at the strategic level providing direction to your business unit
· Provide direction on life-cycle delivery management and project management activities including planning, estimating, deliverables, value tracking, governance, financials, resource management, staffing, hiring, etc.
· Successfully direct the management of delivery for large assignments of high complexity. These assignments involve working with senior and executive management in client organizations or within our Solutions.
· Leverage extensive technical and market knowledge to increase competitiveness of our solutions and accelerate growth of the business unit
· Keep the organization and senior leadership team informed, focused, and engaged through regular communication and dashboards.
· Translate key leadership decisions to the various stakeholder groups and align all groups towards delivering business objectives
· Demonstrate strong sales, problem solving, issue and risk management skills with proven ability to recommend solutions to management.
What you should have
· 15+ years' experience in industry, mixing services and product sales as well as operations' management, preferably with the IBMi environment
· Proven experience at setting financial goals and metrics to track them.
· Proven experience in managing large teams combining sales and solutions' development focus
· Strong experience at leading a unit through setting a strong vision, objectives and related KPI tracking
· Demonstrated track record of uniting cross-functional teams to deliver large scale solutions to market
· Experience in leading change management and organizational structure evolutions
· Experience presenting and communicating to senior leadership and decision-makers, as well as highly technical teams
