You’re not here just to fix things — you’re here to challenge, design, and improve. You love helping teams grow, experimenting with better solutions, and thinking ahead. Whether it’s through sparring with a client or building a scalable system on Google Cloud, you thrive when you can shape what’s next.
At Xebia, we’re looking for a cloud engineer who combines hands-on experience with a broad understanding of the cloud domain. Someone who’s just as comfortable troubleshooting a tricky issue as they are co-creating technical strategy with clients and Google engineers. You’ll join our Managed Services & Engineering team — a small, sharp group that works closely with Google and enterprise clients across Europe. Together, we go beyond keeping systems running. We drive change, bring smart ideas to life, and help clients reinvent how they work in the cloud.
You’ll work on complex Google Cloud environments — investigating issues, spotting opportunities, and designing long-term improvements. You’ll help onboard new clients, shape scalable support models, and bring new tools and patterns into production.
But just as important: you’ll act as a trusted sparring partner. Someone who questions assumptions, brings fresh perspectives, and helps clients and colleagues take the next step. You’ll also contribute to our internal standards and knowledge — through sessions, tooling, mentoring, or open source.
You don’t need to tick every box, but we think you’ll thrive in this role if you:
You bring 3+ years of practical experience with Google Cloud.
Understand the fundamentals: IAM, networking, containers, CI/CD, observability
Work hands-on with tools like Terraform, GitOps, Python or Go
Have a strategic mindset and enjoy co-creating solutions with others
Like sharing knowledge and improving how teams work
Bonus points for Google Cloud certifications — or the ambition to get one.
At Xebia, you’ll find the freedom to grow, experiment, and take initiative — with the support of a close team and a culture built on trust. You’ll get:
A personal development budget (and time to use it)
Unlimited book budget
The gear of your choice — replaced every 2 years
Weekly knowledge-sharing sessions (with food!)
The chance to speak at conferences or shape open source
Legendary team events — from BBQs to ski trips to Ibiza ☀️
Love building, breaking, and rebuilding smarter
Enjoy being a sparring partner for clients and teammates
Like shaping solutions, not just delivering tickets
Thrive in a team where ideas matter more than hierarchy
Prefer predictability over experimentation
Don’t enjoy collaboration or knowledge sharing
Avoid direct client interaction
