We are currently looking to fill the position of: Grades Person.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- No Experience? No Problem! We welcome applicants of all experience levels. If you're new to the industry, we're ready to teach you the ropes! If you've been in the game for a while, we'll value the expertise you bring.
- Learning Mindset: You're eager to learn and grow your skills. Whether it's learning to read reference points, understand ground levels, or operate basic surveying tools, you're motivated to get hands-on and improve every day.
- Stake Management: If you're new to the role, we'll teach you how to offset stakes out of the way of equipment and mark them properly to ensure they can be salvaged later. If you're experienced, you're already familiar with this and can do it with precision.
- Grading Basics: You know how to direct operators or laborers to adjust the grade by moving material. If you're just starting out, we'll show you how it's done. We'll train you on how to read grades and achieve the proper elevations for each job.
- Attention to Detail: Whether you've got years of experience or you're just starting out, you're committed to getting things right. You understand the importance of precision when it comes to grading and site preparation.
- Coordination Skills: You'll work with the foreman and operators to keep the job site organized and ensure tasks are completed efficiently. If you're new, we'll teach you how to communicate and coordinate effectively with the crew.
- Physical Stamina: This role involves working outdoors in various conditions, so you're prepared for long shifts and staying active throughout the day.
Bonus Skills (If You've Got 'Em, Even Better!):
- Heavy Equipment Knowledge: If you have experience with heavy machinery or know how grading and leveling work with different equipment, that's a big plus—but not necessary to get started.
- Surveying Knowledge: If you're familiar with basic surveying or measuring tools, that's a bonus, but we'll provide the training you need to succeed.
- Leadership Potential: If you're interested in taking on more responsibility or progressing in your career, we love to promote from within and support our team members in their growth.

Schedule:
- 7am-6pm with 30-minute lunch
- 12 days on, 2 off (every second weekend off)* THIS IS WEATHER DEPENDENT WORK
