Responsibilities

  • Assist in the review, maintenance and improvement of information security policies, procedures, and ISMS documentation
  • Help coordinate security awareness and training initiatives
  • Support the team in preparing responses to customer security questionnaires
  • Participate in vendor and project security reviews by gathering data and drafting initial assessments
  • Assist in tracking risk and nonconformities mitigation activities
  • Help prepare materials for internal and external audits
  • Contribute to the documentation and tracking of control effectiveness and compliance metrics
  • Support innovation by leveraging corporate approved AI tools to enhance policy communication, awareness activities, and internal processes – contributing to the development of AI-driven solutions like chatbots, content generation, and policy analysis.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a undergrad or post program in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Risk Management, or a related field
  • Eligible for a recognized co-op/internship program through an accredited institution
  • Strong academic standing and interest in cybersecurity, risk, or compliance
  • Availability to work full-time during the co-op term
  • Authorization to work in the country where the position is located

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to summarize technical or policy content clearly
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and track information effectively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a professional environment
  • Solid problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a proactive attitude
  • Willingness to take the initiative, ask questions, and seek feedback for continuous learning
  • Comfort with or interest in using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) to improve productivity and communication

Knowledge

  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles (e.g., confidentiality, integrity, availability, access control)
  • Introductory knowledge of risk and compliance concepts, such as security controls, risk mitigation, and audit preparation
  • Understanding of the role of security policies and procedures in organizational compliance
  • General familiarity with how organizations manage third-party/vendor risk
  • Basic familiarity with risk and compliance concepts, such as risk assessments, security controls, and audits

Desired

  • Awareness of information security standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF, or similar frameworks (coursework or project exposure is sufficient)
  • Familiarity with AI frameworks such as NIST AI RMF or Google SAIF

Work Conditions
