About the Role:
A globally renowned luxury brand is seeking a bilingual Head of Accounting to lead its Japan-based finance and accounting operations. This leadership role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in accounting, compliance, and team management within a multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, and tax compliance
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with JGAAP and US GAAP
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes
Collaborate with regional and global finance teams on audits, internal controls, and process improvements
Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals
Serve as a key business partner to leadership on financial and operational matters
Ideal Candidate:

10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
Strong knowledge of JGAAP, US GAAP, and local tax regulations
CPA, Nissho Boki, or equivalent certification preferred
Fluent in both Japanese and English (business level or higher)
Experience in retail, luxury, or consumer goods industries is a plus
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
