Under the direction and supervision of the Health Promotion Program Director, this position works to mobilize, create, and sustain campus-wide health promotion practices in order to create an environment that promotes student success and personal development. The Health Promotion Specialist will apply student health data to inform strategies that address priority issues on campus, including alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use, sexual health, stress management, and mental health outreach.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Under the direction of the Program Director will assist and support in the planning, implementation, and evaluate theory-based and evidence-informed health promotion strategies, policies, programs, and services
Collaborate with key partners on and off campus to develop a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to health for students
Incorporate multicultural diversity and social justice concepts and principles into health promotion services
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in public health, higher education, health education, or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning is required
1-3 years relevant work experience required
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a collegiate health setting and/or with a college-aged population
Master's degree in Public Health, Higher Education, Health Education, or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning

Act 153 Clearance
Additional Information
Position will require regular evening and weekend hours as needed in order to facilitate events occurring in person in the higher education environment. Flexible work arrangements are available.
