Job Details: Position Title: Indigenous Curriculum & Pedagogy Specialist Status: Full Time Faculty/Department: Indigenous Education & Engagement Campus/Location: Hybrid (in office 3 days per week at North Campus) Salary: Academic starting salaries are determined based on qualifications and years of related experience as detailed in the collective agreement for academic employees. About the Indigenous Education and Engagement Department at Humber: Indigenous Education & Engagement (IE&E) works in partnership with regional Indigenous communities to ensure Indigenous students are supported and connected to their learning environment- academically, culturally and socially.
IE&E is committed to braiding Indigenous Ways of Being, Knowing, and Doing into Humber's academic programs, course content and co-curricular activities. Our Academic Team currently offers several supports for staff and faculty at Humber. About the Indigenous Curriculum & Pedagogy Specialist Role: Reporting to the Associate Dean, Indigenous Education & Engagement, and working in collaboration with the Centre for Innovative Learning: Teaching Excellence Program, Digital Learning, Research and Innovation (RI) and Program Planning, Development and Renewal (PPDR) teams, the Indigenous Curriculum and Pedagogy Specialist supports the development, implementation and evaluation of co-curricular experiences, Indigenous Education programs, projects, and events, employee professional development, program development and review processes, and curriculum supports at Humber. Applying knowledge of, and experience with, Indigenous cultures, perspectives, histories and contemporary experiences, the incumbent will support the development of programs and initiatives predominantly within.
