  Bureau Veritas is looking for a Janitor to join our team in Ste-Foy QC.

  Your main responsibilities are:

  • Perform routine maintenance within the laboratory (e.g. cleaning bathrooms cleaning kitchen mopping and sweeping floors);
  • Ensure any safety related maintenance items are addressed promptly;
  • Perform outside building and grounds maintenance (e.g. snow removal spring clean-up windows);
  • Provide support to the Facilities Supervisor as required;
  • Act as a backup point of contact for the landlord and contractors who have responsibility for maintenance of laboratory and building equipment (e.g. HVAC make-up air unit plumbing electrical);
  • Any other related tasks.

  You are an ideal candidate if you:

  • Have a high school diploma (required);
  • Have 1 year of general maintenance or equivalent experience preferred;
  • Are eager to learn and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail;
  • Have a positive attitude and great multitasking abilities;

  • Can work independently and collaborate effectively in a team.

  
  Work conditions:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and under pressure environment;

  • Physically demanding tasks: work on your feet for long hours lifting up to 50 lbs painting snow removal spring cleanup;

  • Shift: Monday to Friday 11:30AM to 8:30PM. You need to flexible with overtime 1-2 hours after your shift and Sundays when needed.
