The Opportunity Tetra Tech is adding an
Electrical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to our
Electrical team based in

Our office specializes in small to mid-sized projects for clients across Canada. The types of clients we work for include:
- Heavy Industrial Facilities
- Pipelines and Refineries
- Mining and Mineral Processing
- Municipal & Utilities
- Water Treatment
The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $75,000 per annum. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.

Your Role - Contributing to the concept, development and design of components, subsystems or processes.
- Sizing and specification of electrical equipment.
- Basic cable and tray sizing calculations.
- Electrical heat tracing calculations, power system calculations, specifications of electrical equipment.
- Prepare simple plans and designs for electrical equipment layouts and power distribution.
- Perform routine technical surveys.
- Help ensure all project scope items are addressed and quality objectives met.
- Help ensure project schedules and budgets are maintained and adhered to.
- Work closely with other disciplines and share knowledge with colleagues within the company and with clients.
- Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
- Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
- Additional duties as required.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Registration with EGBC as an Engineer-in-Training or eligibility for registration.
- 0-5 years of experience – new grads welcome to apply!
- Heavy industrial or consulting experience is considered an asset.
- Familiar with Canadian Electrical Code and other related standards.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
