About the role

Our team is developing a self-learning engine that simplifies the life of an accountant in Europe. With it, the extraction of financial data from invoices, purchase orders, etc is made easier and cheaper than manual labor. We are looking for a Python engineer of junior+ level who can help with implementing clients’ requests in the middle layer between the ML engine and the interface that the client uses.

Key responsibilities :

• Implementation and maintenance of the middle layer code in production

• Hypotheses testing on customer documents to find the best solution

• Building integrations with third party services that can help solve particular business cases

What competencies we are looking for

• At least 1 year of professional experience with Python

• Good algorithms skills

• Experience with Django framework and Postgresql

• Basic knowledge of classical ML learning/prediction vs hardcoded algorithms

• Good English (internal communications + questions from clients)

Nice to have

• Experience with European accounting basics (VAT)
