The Job SRC Can is seeking
a Junior Software Developer to help build next-generation electronic warfare solutions for the Canadian market. Reporting to the Senior Staff Software Developer, the
junior developer will design and develop software for electronic warfare and defense solutions.
Key Responsibilities: - Work with subject matter and domain experts to elicit software requirements.
- Contribute to software design, development, testing, and integration within an Agile environment.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across software development and processes.
- Monitor, manage, and report project status.
Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, think independently, and overcome technical challenges.
- Excellent English verbal/written communication skills. Proficiency in French is an asset.
- Candidates must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control and security regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, and be eligible to hold a Government of Canada Level 2 (Secret) Security Clearance.
Assets: - Applied knowledge and experience with container technologies.
- Applied knowledge and experience with Java, C++, C, Typescript, JavaScript, and Python.
- Applied knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL, Express, React, and Node.
- Applied knowledge and experience with modern data architectures.
- Applied knowledge and experience in VS Code.
- Applied knowledge and experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines.
- Applied knowledge and experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Comfortable working in cross-functional roles.
- Excited to develop distributed software systems.
- Excited to engage in the Electronic Warfare Lifecycle domain.
