KidStrong Receptionist Location Hybrid work in Burlington, ON :

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that all coaches have clocked-in (Homebase) and read/acknowledged the SOR
  • Assist and prepare Start Kits and all items related to the Starter Kit (Jersey, Ranks and Awards Affirmation Poster, Wristband and KidStrong Water Bottle (water bottle will be discontinued shortly)
  • Create positive interactions with students and families before, during, and after class
  • Provide special one on one attention to our first time members and/or trials
  • Ensure classes both start and end on schedule and follow the appropriate pace and curriculum
  • Assist coaches with direction, flow of class; (get on the floor if coach is behind or needs assistance)
  • Maintain dynamic, fun, motivational, and professional demeanor when leading the lobby
  • Engage with parents in the lobby during class, and make sure they have an understanding of the technology, curriculum, and KS programming
  • Build community with families in lobby the lobby to learn the needs of specific families and gain feedback on classes
  • Able to navigate various platforms (HubSpot, Zen Planner) etc.
  • Complete understanding of all administrative tasks including but not limited to: membership management/changes; customer service inquiries, holds, make up class bookings, changing start dates, upgrade and downgrade membership, enroll trial/walks, answering phone calls and/or calling
  • Verify the lobby is clean and presentable at all times ( in particular between classes ), bathrooms are stocked and clean at the beginning and end of shift; ensure laundry is switched over and folded by the end of the shift.
  • Complete an After Action Report (AAR) to summarize the members you assisted, how classes ran, and the outcome of trials.
  • Complete end of shift cleaning duties as a team
  • Make sure program areas, buildings, and facilities are well maintained
  • Communicate and engage effectively with parents, and staff

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will have:

  • Passion for working with children is non-negotiable!
  • Prior experience working with children
  • Prior experience in an administrative position appreciated
  • CPR certified
  • Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
  • Organized and strong communication skills
  • Proficient in using Google Docs, Google Sheets, and other Google Workspace tools
  • Comfortable navigating and utilizing various online platforms and technologies
  • Self-starter who just gets a job done

PAY

  • $17-18/hr

SCHEDULE

  • Weekday Evenings
  • Weekends

  • Secondary School (required)

Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)
