Amentum is seeking a Lead Non-Intrusive Inspection Technician- Radiation Safety Officer in Huntsville, AL to be part of a large team of logisticians, engineers, and field service representatives that collaborate closely with our Army customer to support integrated base defense systems.

This position will be based in Huntsville, AL and will require up to 50% travel to other CONUS / OCONUS sites.

Essential Duties:

• Responsible for field and sustainment level maintenance to ensure Non-Intrusive Inspection systems are mission capable.

• Report readiness in accordance with local command requirements and contract deliverables.

• Perform preventative maintenance checks and services (PMCS), in accordance with AR 750-1 and OEM applicable manuals per appropriate schedule.

• Report user feedback on performance in accordance with contract deliverable Maintenance Service Report.

• Record all repair actions and parts consumption data into directed system such as Catalog Ordering Logistics Tracking System (COLTS).

• Maintain a Government Property Inventory Report as required by the contract deliverable, Installation Site Inventory Report.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a current U.S government Secret security clearance. Must be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree in science, or a related field or In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an additional 6 years’ of relevant experience is required.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience performing mechanical and electronics maintenance and repair on both the radiation and Backscatter technology systems.

• Must have completed the Army Radiation Safety Course or another federally recognized Radiation Safety Course.

• Must be able to obtain a Nuclear Regulatory Commission license prior to start of work / handling the radioactive materials.

• Demonstrated experience in the safe use of radiation sources in accordance with Army Regulation AR 385-10 The Army Safety Program.
