LIMS Business Analyst (Hybrid)

Summary

The LIMS Business Analyst is responsible for: a) supporting business processes for the testing and deployment of LIMS application for the ICPC units of CellCarta; b) collaborating with lab operations to develop and execute user acceptance tests for all deliverables; c) collaborating with IT to design and prepare adequate documentation; d) acting as a subject matter expert; e) providing training and developing user guides and; f) writing, reviewing, and updating general SOPs as needed.

Responsibilities

More specifically, you will participate in the following:

• Support business processes for the testing and deployment of various functionalities in StarLIMS;
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and scientists to develop and execute user acceptance tests for all deliverables;
• Collaborate with IT to design and prepare adequate documentation in accordance with internal procedures (e.g., Change Control, Cutover Plan, Migration Plan);
• Act as a subject matter expert to support users and participate in decision-making processes to ensure quality and efficiency;
• Provide training and develop user guides to support information retention and proper application as defined during development/validation;
• Write, review, and update general SOPs, and collaborate with stakeholders onsite and across locations as needed to ensure process harmonization;
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum DEC or B.Sc. in Sciences.

Main Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience with a Laboratory Information Management System (StarLIMS experience considered an asset);
• Previous laboratory and training experience in a Contract Research Organization (CRO) or a similar setting, operating under Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards;
• Previous experience in lab application development, validation, testing, and implementation, particularly with LIMS systems, is a strong asset;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Excellent knowledge of and experience working in a GLP/GCLP environment;
• Strong attention to detail;
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities;
• Professional proficiency in English is required; knowledge of French and/or Dutch is considered an asset.

Working Conditions

• This is a hybrid role. Remote work is acceptable; however, occasional onsite presence is required - particularly during the onboarding period or when a new project begins;
• From time to time, the work schedule may need to be adjusted to accommodate business needs, especially when collaboration between sites is necessary;
• The employee must follow company safety precautions and always adhere to SOPs in the conduct of their work.
