Job Description

Looking for a career opportunity that will allow you to grow your skills and be part of an exceptional team? Hotel Arts is currently hiring a Maintenance Technician for our Facilities department.

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with passionate professionals who are dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our guests. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the infrastructure of the complex, refreshing guest rooms, public areas, and meeting rooms, and contributing to the growth and development of the Maintenance Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete daily rounds of all areas of the building, monitoring the operation of the Complex’s infrastructure and making adjustments as needed to ensure it runs efficiently
  • Preventative maintenance on all guest rooms, including heating/cooling, plumbing, lighting and all other operational aspects to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Respond to all guest and departmental calls for maintenance deficiencies and requests
  • Complete all assigned daily/weekly/monthly Preventative Maintenance Requests in a timely manner
  • Consistently update the Chief Engineer Facilities regarding the completion timeline of any engaged projects as well as of any parts and supplies required 
  • Understand and be able to demonstrate the responsibilities in the Emergency Response Plan in correspondence with your position
  • Be involved in all Departmental Meetings and contribute to the growth, development, and presence of the Maintenance Department
  • Perform other assigned comparable or transient duties that are within the domain of knowledge and skills required by the position description

Requirements:

  • Previous hotel experience an asset
  • Trade tickets and/or certifications an asset
  • Plumbing ticket considered an asset
  • Adaptable to a flexible schedule as business needs dictate (includes weekends, evenings, and holidays)
  • Excellent time management and communication skills
  • Basic computer knowledge
