Job Description

Job Summary:
The Mechanical Engineer is a motivated individual who is eager to contribute to our sustaining engineering team. In this role you will work under the supervised direction of leadership to drive and contribute to designs and improvements in the mechanical systems in the companies infusion devices to achieve product performance goals and business objectives 

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:
Work with supervised direction/guidance from management and/or engineering leadership.
Collaborates with team members to develop and write clear test procedures for performance specifications.
Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data. Works on problems of limited scope.
Conducts investigatory testing - compiles and reports results
Assists with product improvement
Assist in complex electro-mechanical mechanisms to achieve engineering performance goals
Create engineering drawings for components and assemblies.
Create change orders to release engineering drawings.
Create test reports or other design description documents for product design history file.
Prepare technical records and files, including engineering changes
Focus efforts on improved performance and reduced complexity
Create artifacts in support of design, redesign, prototype, and transfer to manufacturing activities
Perform and document failure analysis on returned product from the field
Work with customers and vendors as needed regarding technical issues
Perform other related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering
0–1 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer on product development teams
Experience with SolidWorks or an equivalent CAD system
Experience using hand tools and/or machine tools such as a lathe or end mill
Experience using 3D printing technologies for prototyping

Pay ranges between $38-42/hr based on experience
