STATUS: Casual

FTE: 0.0

ANTICIPATED DATE : As soon as possible

HOURS OF WORK:

8 and 12-hour shifts - Rotation
Possibility of standby and call back
Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:

Prepares laboratory specimens for analytical processing and/or performs venous and capillary blood procurement.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school graduation plus a medical laboratory assistant program/course of over six months and up to one year or equivalent;
• National medical laboratory assistants certification of Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) considered an asset;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Physical ability to perform assigned duties;

• Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
• Adherence to the principles of professional ethics, the management philosophy, and organizational values;
• Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set forth by Vitalité Health Network.

Written and spoken competence in French and spoken competence in English are required.

NOTE :

1. The successful candidate may be asked to travel to Dr.-Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre and to the phlebotomy clinic in Dieppe.
