The Care Company is looking for an awesome, self-driven Nurses (RPN or RN) to assist us with complex care home care clients. We have a diverse pool of clients that range from new borns to geriatrics with a variety of different needs.

Shifts

• Someone who can commit to an ongoing, consistent, weekly schedule (days and times are flexible as long as they are consistent)
• Day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts available with various shift lengths from 4-12 hours in length

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs (hygiene assistance, bathing, and medications administration) that is within the scope of practice for a Registered Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
• Provide exceptional patient care as outlined in their care plans, supporting patients with all applicable medical needs
• Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly
• Assists clients with transfers, ambulation, and exercises as required
• Observe the patients' medical health as well as their physical and mental responses
• Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description
• Completes records and documentation accurately and thoroughly

Requirements

Must have complex care experience with any of the following interventions:

• Tracheostomy suctioning
• Ventilators
• G and J tube feeding
• Bi-pap or C-pap
• Cough assist
• Oxygenation
• Seizure monitoring
• we can provide training for the right candidate

Other requirements include:

• An asset if you own vehicle and have a valid driver's licence (not required)
• Negative TB Test completed within the last year
• CNO Registration and Nursing Certificate
• COVID Vaccination Receipts subject to an exemption pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code
• Valid Criminal Record Check - must be completed within the last year.
• Valid CPR/First Aid certification
• Valid WHMIS certification from the last year
• Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English
• Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Coordinators when needed.
