Oncologist
Location: Calgary, Alberta Canada
Schedule: TBD with qualifying applicant

Calgary Animal Referral & Emergency Centre is welcoming a Board Certified Veterinary Medical Oncologist to join our specialty health care team. The specialty team currently includes a board-certified Radiologist, Neurologist, Oncologist, Dermatologist, Ophthalmologist, Surgeons, Internal Medicine, and a board-certified Criticalist.

About Our Ideal Candidate:
  • You have completed an Oncology residency and are qualified or will be qualified as a Diplomate of ACVIM (Oncology)
  • You are confident in your abilities and do not require another oncologist to be on site. You will have a network to collaborate with across the VCA network in Canada and the US and this excites you!
  • You are eager for an opportunity to build your own practice with our referring community. You will be supported in doing so with leadership, marketing, and other support office areas to help you build your business.
  • Experience with; varied cases, a cross-section of clients, and all levels of staff
  • Licensed in Alberta or eligible to be licensed
  • You will demonstrate positive and caring leadership qualities, combined with a team player attitude to enable all our teams to flourish. It takes all of us to succeed together!
  • Training and mentoring are key to assisting the next generation of veterinary professionals - you understand this and are fully committed.

About Us: is a 24-hour emergency and referral specialty hospital, that operates out of a 26,000 square foot facility in Calgary. The hospital is undergoing a complete update and expansion to facilitate the ever-growing caseload and expanding specialty services, including the design of a new, state-of-the-art ICU.
