Job Description: Reedsy is currently seeking an experienced Online Book Reviewer to join our team on a part-time basis. As an Online Book Reviewer, you will be responsible for reading and critically analyzing books from various genres and writing honest and engaging reviews that will be published on our website.
Responsibilities:
Read and analyze books of various genres, including fiction and non-fiction Write detailed, honest, and engaging book reviews that will be published on the Reedsy website Meet deadlines and work collaboratively with the editorial team Attend regular team meetings and contribute ideas for improving the review process Use critical thinking skills to identify strengths and weaknesses in books Stay up-to-date with current trends and developments in the book publishing industry Represent Reedsy in a professional manner and maintain our high editorial standards Requirements:
At least 4 years of experience in book reviewing, publishing, or related fields A good level of critical thinking skills Excellent writing and communication skills A passion for books and reading A strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines Familiarity with online publishing platforms and social media Ability to work independently and as part of a team Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, or a related field (preferred) Salary: The salary range for this part-time position is between 7.5 and 15 in UK local currency, depending on experience and qualifications.
Note: This is a remote position, and the employee can work from home.
