Job Description

Job Title: Operations Assistant to COO Department: Business Administration Department / Cross-Divisional Location: Osaka Reporting To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Job Summary: We are looking for a sharp, reliable, and business-minded Operations Assistant to work closely with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) in supporting cross-company initiatives. This role spans across our Textile business and our Lifestyle Divisions (Wellness, Food, Digital Solutions), and includes hands-on involvement in projects ranging from supply chain optimization to digital transformation. You will collaborate with the COO on day-to-day operations, strategic planning, performance analysis, third-party marketing collaborations, and digital solution sales efforts. Key Responsibilities: Project Coordination: Work together with the COO to follow up on all strategic projects across departments, ensuring alignment, execution, and reporting. Operations Strategy & Planning: Support the development and monitoring of strategic plans, assess business risks and opportunities, and contribute to decision-making processes based on market intelligence and internal data. Supply Chain & Shipping Oversight: Assist in organizing and streamlining supply chain activities and monitoring shipping department. Sales & Marketing Support: Help in setting and tracking marketing budgets, evaluating sales team performance, and identifying performance improvement opportunities. External Partnerships & Collaborations: Work together with the COO to manage external relationships with business partners and third-party collaborators across industries. Contract & Margin Review: Review daily contracts and monitor profit margins to ensure financial soundness and identify optimization opportunities. Business Development: Contribute to the setup and scaling of new business units, especially within emerging areas under the Lifestyle Division. Digital Solution Sales Support: Assist in promoting and organizing digital solution sales efforts, especially those tailored to the textile industry and targeted at external partners. Ongoing Digital Collaboration Support: Help manage and coordinate cross-company digital initiatives and collaborations with supply-chain partners or clients. Company Systems Monitoring: Review system-generated data and dashboards to identify anomalies or trends and provide insight to the COO and team. Risk Assessment & Reporting: Identify operational risks, flag potential issues early, and support contingency planning efforts. Requirements: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in operations, business coordination, or digital project roles. Strong command of English (business-level writing, speaking, and reporting is essential). Proficient in using customized business systems (ERP, CRM tools) and Microsoft Office tools. Clear communicator with high attention to detail and a practical problem-solving mindset. Able to work across different business units with flexibility and diplomacy. High level of confidentiality and professionalism. Preferred Traits: Agile and comfortable in a multi-industry, fast-evolving environment.
