Responsibilities: As our Insurance Coordinator, you'll be the go-to expert in all things insurance—working directly with patients and insurance companies to ensure claims are filed accurately and benefits are maximized. You'll play a vital role in helping patients understand their financial options while supporting our team behind the scenes. Responsibilities include:

Verify orthodontic insurance benefits prior to patient consultations
Accurately file and track insurance claims and pre-authorizations
Communicate with insurance carriers regarding claim status, payments, and denials
Follow up on outstanding claims and resolve any billing discrepancies
Explain insurance coverage and payment plans to patients clearly and compassionately
Collaborate closely with the front desk, treatment coordinator, and financial team
Maintain updated patient insurance records in our practice management software

Qualifications:

Prior experience in dental/orthodontic insurance billing (preferred but not required)
Knowledge of insurance terminology and claim procedures
Strong organizational and communication skills
Attention to detail and the ability to multitask efficiently
A positive, professional demeanor and team-first mindset
Familiarity with Dolphin software is a plus
