Job Description

Piping Designer

Our client is a dynamic and innovative consulting and engineering firm specializing in advancing operational and manufacturing excellence within the specialty chemicals industry. They are actively looking for a Piping Designer for their operations in Georgetown, Ontario. In this role you will create piping designs using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
Responsibilities:

Create and manage AutoCAD Plant3D projects.
Provide technical support to project personnel regarding CAD applications.
Participate in technical workshops and training.
Participate in the development of standard practices and procedures utilized in customer support and design development
Create and maintain AutoCAD Plant 3D catalog components and specifications.
Administration of Autodesk Support files (Templates, Profiles, LSP, Pallets, etc)
Create and manage AutoCAD Plant 3D reports to meet the needs of the project team.
Create and manage AutoCAD productivity tools
Organize of legacy data to meet the needs of future projects
Prepare detailed drawings & 3D models.
Experience with 3D modeling software and scanning.

Requirements:

Minimum 10 years of piping design experience.
Mechanical Engineering Degree or Diploma
General ability to read all types of engineering drawings, including but not limited to PFD, P&IDs, General Arrangements, Piping Isometrics, etc.
